Those percussion playing an active role from the beginning should not be monotonous but should strive for varied, unique expression. Throughout the entire episode, irregular time has been avoided as much as possible to limit the difficulty level. This piece consciously uses unison, changing tone and dynamics through various combinations of wind instruments, woodwind groups, brass groups, and percussion instruments that control rhythm. While writing, the composer reevaluated the orchestration and sound structure of small instrumentation (small number of people) from scratch, and a concept of the most basic style of "Unison" was achieved. This A-B-A, fast-slow-fast work is the fourth small band piece by Abe.
Commissioned, and premiered by Honjo Minami Junior High School in July 2014.
